ProfExam Creator supports importing exams from other files of these two formats: PDF and TXT.
To import a file:
- On the “File” menu, select “Import...”
- At the bottom-right part of the “Open” window, select the type of the file to be imported (PDF or TXT)
- Locate the file and then click “Open”
- Wait for the completion of the 5 stages of importing
Importing from PDF files also fetches the images, so the process may take quote some time.
Structure of import file
To ensure the successful import, the PDF and TXT files must comply with the following structure:

Information about exam
Information about exam title, number, completion time, passing score, etc. is provided at the very beginning of the file.

The application allows storing
several exams in a single file. To enter the command for creating a new
exam, type one of these keywords:
- Exam
- NewExam

Case study
A Case Study section can be added to both the entire exam and a single question.
To
add a Case Study for the exam, include this section after the “Exam”
(or “New Exam”) option and before the first question (i.e. the
“Question” keyword).

Question
To mark the beginning of the question, use one of the keywords. Specifying the serial number for the question is not necessary.

Answer options
Answer options begin after the question. The beginning of an
answer consists of a capital letter followed by the period and the
space. For example: “A. ”, “B. “, etc.

The import function automatically detects the type of the question by the correct answer. Here are examples of question type detection:

The list of sections is generated automatically upon the completion of the import; therefore, there is no need to specify them manually.
